You get a lot of advice when expecting but you continually hear “they grow up quick”.  No I’m not referring to the day light savings time and the hour we just lost, although I’d love to have that one back. 

It’s been just about 3 weeks and we don’t know where it’s gone.  Whitney was only 6lbs 6oz when we left the hospital and now tipping the scales at just over 7lbs.  Her eyes could barely open and were dark, now she opens them wide and shows off her blue/greenish colors.  She’s picking up objects with her eyes and goes into long stares.  The hair is still there, actually a bit thicker and still dark.  Her olive complexion makes Heather a bit jealous.  She loves lying on her parent’s chest and giving all the effort in the world to crawl up it.  The occasional smile comes across her face and you get the impression she’s learning so much quickly.  Her many facial expressions make you never want to leave her side, god forbid we missed one.  She has an amazing death grip considering her hands barely wrap around a pinky.  She’s enjoyed a few play dates with her new friends Sienna and Landon.  Whitney-dramatically isn’t afraid to show off her vocals when she wants attention.  Her vocals go to a quiet hum and talk in her sleep when lying on mom and dad’s chest.  Guessing that’s going to lead to bad habits but it works in the middle of the night.  Who would have thought excitement would come when finding a poop and changing a diaper.  Our little Whitneypooh has brought so much to our lives already and we are so thankful.
