We just celebrated our first official holiday as parents.  Although Whitney’s too young to get excited over Easter, it was certainly more fun as “mom” and “dad”.  The festivities began a week before Easter with a trip to see the Easter Bunny.  Whitney was dressed in head to toe bunny attire and you could tell she was excited…although she was technically sleeping while sitting on the bunny’s lap.  We watched with enthusiasm as only first time parents would and were excited to send Easter cards to some of Whitney’s closest friends.  As the week went on, Whitney could certainly tell mommy was excited as she started packing her bag for CT with bunny outfits, PJs and a fun Easter dress.  Whitney was the life of the party as she visited with Grandma and Grandpa Suzio and her Aunts.  She stole the show with her sweet noises and wide smiles.  She made her first trip to East Wharf beach and met some of the Madison neighbors she will surely visit more with this summer.  She also got to meet one of her Great Grandmothers who agreed that Whitney is “socially advanced”.

 All in all, it was a great first Easter for Whitney but even more so for us.  It was so much fun getting her all dressed up and getting an Easter basket ready for our baby girl.  Although we are now the parents, Bob still took the opportunity to be a kid at heart.  He won the Suzio Family Easter Egg Hunt and even found the Golden Egg in this year’s contest.  Some things will never change…nor should they.
